28 1/2" SxS chopper-lump barrels with matted slightly-concave rib choked improved cylinder & modified, 14 1/4"pull from front trigger to chequered horn butt plate, 1 1/4 - 1 3/4" drop, 1/2" cast-off. Highly figured French walnut stock with straight English grip, Anson pushbutton release splinter for end, teardrops and gold oval.
Rose & scroll engraved action with concealed third fastener, side clips, bushed firing pins, cocking indicators and SAFE inlaid in gold.
Weight: 7lbs. In maker's oak & leather case with accessories. 99% blue, 90% case colours, excellent bores.
Makers note: Gun 25858 was completed November 25, 1946. This gun, 25858A, was built later to match gun 25858. The barrels consequently bear their original proofmarks under the rules of 1954 for 3 1/4 tons and 2 3/4" cartridges. Purdey purchased and resold this gun during 1976.

Rose & scroll engraved receiver with cocking indicators, bushed firing pins and automatic safety with SAFE in gold.
Weight: 6lbs, 11oz.
Built 1930. refinished to new including new barrels, London proofed in 1988.
Leather trunk case with brass corners.
